Learn what is needed for successful participation in the United States Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED® for Homes Rating System. LEED for Homes is a voluntary rating system that promotes the design and construction of high performance green homes that use less energy, water, natural resources, and are more healthy and comfortable for the inhabitants. Gain information on products and green design construction practices, certification and verification, marketing and sales, and program administration. This session is for architects, contractors, raters, and consultants.

  1. Understand the basic tenants of high performing “green” homes
  2. Acquire an understanding of residential green products and design practices
  3. Learn the key concepts around the LEED for Homes Rating system
